AirAsia: First route from Manila to Japan

Flying to Japan just got easier! Japan is one of the top destinations in Asia for Filipinos to visit. The second would have to be probably Taiwan since they extended their free visa. Japan is one of my favorite travel destinations to visit and te last time I visited, Japan was back in 2013. I remember that the plane ticket was quite expensive so before to Japan, you need to think about how costly your plane trip will be.

Air Asia has just made everything easier but announcing its first ever route between the Philippines and Japan. The first-ever route would be from Manila to Osaka which will start on July 1, 2019. I was invited by Air Asia to join the festivities on June 29, 2019, which was open to the public from 10am-8pm. The day started out with various fun Japanese game inspired game and shows with lots of exciting prices. Registration for the game is free and everyone had a chance to win free return flights to Osaka.

Couple of games that I played was the Sumo Roll. I had to dress up like a Japanese sumo wrestler. I had my own suit and helmet to go with it. I had to roll around and get the bowl which had the plane ticket. The catch was that I had to be blindfolded. I still made beat the count!

The next game I played was the stocking war. I had to wear the stocking over my head and I had to race to the other end of the floor and grab my plane ticket. This was a fun game and I played it twice just for the hell of it!

The last game I played was blow pong. This game is similar to beer pong. The only difference is that instead of throwing the ball; you have to blow your ball to the other end of your opponent’s table. I won this game with pride!

The launch started and it began with a few games with AirAsia Philippines President Dexter Comendador and AirAsia endorser Nico Bolizico played the game called “What’s in the box? Nico won this game easily. I had a chance to take a photo with him and the dude is such a funny guy.

There were was also great dances from the AirAsia cabin crew which was quite memorable to watch since the AirAsia Manila-Osaka theme song is similar to the Pokemon theme song. There were also other great performances from a Japanese comedy trio and a Japanese singer.

AirAsia Philippines President Dexter Comendador: We are excited to celebrate this milestone and add Japan to our growing network. This will surely pave the way for us to connect more international cities to further promote Philippine tourism.
