I always loved Thai food and Thai culture. I first saw a piece of Thailand when I saw the temples in the movie “Mortal Kombat”. It’s a must to see the temples if you enjoy history. Watch out though. Some of the temples, you need to dress decent and some of the temples don’t allow photography/videos inside. You’ll need loads of water since it’s going to be really hot and you’ll be walking around the entire day. I visited Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of Emerald Buddha)), Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha) and Wat Traimit. Check out some of the photos below:
Now before you around Bangkok, you’ll be riding the Tuk Tuk. It’s cheaper and really fast especially at night!

Fun fact: Some of Buddha ashes are stored at this place

Now if you want to go for some great authenic Thai food, I went to Khao San. Every visitor from around the world especially from Australia and England are in Khao. You can find great drinks, great Thai food, gadgets and did I forget to mention that you can have bugs for dinner?
Authentic Pad Thai!
Delicious Street food!
Bugs for lunch? I am pretty adventurous but I wouldn’t dare try this. You guys can give it a shot though and tell me how it taste like. 🙂
You can also go for a boat ride around Bangkok through the Chao Phraya River. Ever seen the JVCD movie, ” Kickboxer”? Remember the famous boat ride around Bangkok? Yep! It’s the same thing except there’s no 80’s soundtrack in the background.
Buy stuff along Chao Phraya River. I tried to bargain with the lady and get a cheaper price on some Thai products
Now if you really wanna go for shopping, the place to be with be at the Platinum Fashion Mall. Tons of cheap clothes and other things as well 🙂
Chilling before heading to the Platinum Fashion Mall
Every seems to ask me about the red light district and the lady boys of Bangkok. Well I won’t go into detail about the redlight district. I’ll leave it up to you guys to visit but I did see the famous lady boy show at Calypso @ Asiatique the Riverfront. Don’t worry it’s a great and clean show with talented lady boys and they were hella funny!

After the show, you can take photos with the lady boys
Overall, Bangkok is a great place to eat, shop and enjoy the culture. But I warn you to keep an open mind, especially when you head to Patpong (the infamous red light district)
