Grillin’ Ape: Hidden Japanese Restaurant in Eastwood

I have been craving for Japanese food lately and I got invited to try out another Japanese restaurant. However, this Japanese restaurant is quite different and I’m about to go bananas over it. I went all the way to Eastwood city to try out the Grillin’ Ape Japanese restaurant.

The place is a hole-in-the-wall themed restaurant but they also got delicious affordable Japanese food. They also got great anime music playing the background and comfy seats! It’s a great place for lunch and dinner if you work in Libis, Eastwood city.

The Yakiniku is probably their best seller and it’s good for a group of 4 people. You can actually the following:
- Chicken Meatballs for P50
- Pork Belly with Scallion for P70
- Enoki and Bacon for P80
- Chicken Liver wrapped in Bacon for P80
- Chicken Wings for P95
- Quail Egg Bacon for P80
- Chicken Fillet with Scallion for P60
- Pork Meatballs for P70
- Corn for P30
- Quail Egg for P40

The Udon Bowl is one of my favorites, especially during the rainy season. It warms up your stomach. You can choose either with pork belly or topped with bacon.

The Salom Belly Donut doesn’t look like a donut but comes with marinated salmon and red radish. Totally surprised me!

The Lava donut comes in tempura, egg, yuzu kyozu mayo and mozzarella cheese. A must-try!

The Banana Ape solved it for me! You gotta try the dessert!
