Asylum Manila: The Terrifying New Attraction
Everyone seems to love a good scare. We all wait for that special holiday; Halloween where everyone is allowed to dress up and give us a good scare. I always wanted to go to scary theme park in the Philippines but I never seem to find one.
We found this great scary place in Quezon City called the Asylum Manila. Opened in 1939, The Asylum has been abandoned. Now in 2019, the doors are open again.
This place gave us a lot of frightening moments. We first got our tickets and waited in line where we were greeted by some deranged nurses who gave us a warning that the place is not for people who has the faint of heart. We finally got our group photo and headed into the unknown.
We first got a full story about Asylum from the nurses who dared us to enter the Asylum in which we reluctantly did. This crazy person with a huge hammer greeted us and started banging everything around. We met a few more deranged nurses where we then entered an elevator which started to shake uncontrollably. Our scary adventure started. We saw lot of body parts and dead people all over the place. Scary people with disfigured faces started popping from the walls, near the door and on top of the ceiling!
We entered this place which seems to have bodies hanging from the ceiling and a deranged manic started to chase us with a huge machete. There were lots of banging from psychotic patients asking for help from their cages. I guess the scary part is when these psychotic zombies and monsters started coming from their cages and through the walls.
We also experience so many iconic horror characters including Chucky and Anabelle. We were able to take some great photos of us wear strait jackets. I also enjoyed our photo session where my body was cut in half! I think the highlight of the Asylum Manila experience was a photo with Pennywise from the movie IT. I remember watching the IT movies when I was a kid and the last IT movie back in 2017. Definitely something worth remembering.
Once you make it out, you can your own photo memorabilia stating that you surived the trip.
Think you can do it on your own? Try it. I dare you. I triple dare you. Aslyum Manila is open to the public on June 20, 2019
