Delicious Filipino Food At Bangihan Ni Kuya Restaurant
I was traveling when our group got hungry and decided to do a quick pit stop at this restaurant called Bangihan Ni Kuya Restaurant. Bangihan basically means “grilled” in Tagalog. I was struck by how huge the restaurant was. I felt like I was at a resort.

The owner is a Filipino expat living in Dubai so I just felt like he knew what I wanted in a Filipino restaurant since I grew up in Dubai. The place has lots of Instagrammable areas and in my opinion, looks great at night. Before we entered, we were told that we had to wash our hands in which we did at the nearest washbasin.

There seems to be room for everyone. The tables and chairs are made of wood but they are just comfortable as a plastic chair. We could see our orders being done. There was another place where anyone can buy gifts or “pasalubong” for your family and friends.

Let’s get back to business. Just as in any restaurant, the food is the main agenda. They have great high-quality Filipino food from Pancit to Seafood. They offer “Boodle Fight’s which fit to your group needs. Since we were a group of more than 10 people, we chose the Boodle Fight #4.

Boodle Fight #4
Served with Iced Tea (Good for 10 People) – P2400
- Crispy Pata
- Calamares
- Crispy Chicken
- Tuna Panga (Ihaw)
- Ginataan Santol
- Bicol Express
- Sisig
- Choice of 1 dish:
- Kinamatism Salmon Head
- Sinampalukan Tun Panga or Kinamatisan Tadyang ng Baka

Let’s start with the Liempo. I have tried different types of liempo and this just as good. I would give this a rating of 8/10. Not bad right?

I have been eating a lot of crispy pata lately. This cripsy pata is just as good but not as soft and juicy like the cripsy pata that I had at Lucena city. I would give this a rating of 7/10. To be fair, I did finish it all

The sisig isn’t bad at all! Even though it got cold for me, it still had that awesome sisig taste that I crave for. I rate this 8/10

I just thought that I shoud add shrimps to the list since many Filipinos love seafood. I have no idea how this taste like this since I am allergic to shrimp. According to blogger, Jacque Colitoy she would give the shrimp 7/10.

Overall, I had a great experience. The music and the ambiance were just on point. I would recommend to friends who want to have a reunion or just a place to kick it and relax. This should be the next best thing in Quezon Province. I will definitely be back for more!
