I have stayed at Manila Hotel back in 2018 so it’s going to bring back some great memories once we took a tour in Manila Hotel! I decided to take a before and after of each of photos at the Presidential Suite.

The Manila Hotel is a 570-room, historic five-star hotel located along Manila Bay in Manila, Philippines. The hotel is the oldest premiere hotel in the Philippines built in 1909 to rival Malacañang Palace, the official residence of the President of the Philippines and was opened on the commemoration of American Independence on July 4, 1912.

Now you’re probably wondering on why the Manila Hotel is so famous. During the time of President Ferdinand Marcos. Mr. Marcos’s wife, Imelda, could frequently be seen at the hotel restaurants. During her visits, a red carpet and garlands were put out and the air was sprayed with deodorant. Under Imelda’s patronage, the hotel reaped international recognition and awards. It was the place to go and be seen during the martial law years.

The first stop would be the Presidential Suite. It was exactly the way it was when I last visited the place. This is the place where most of the Presidents from other countries would stay. The last international president to stay at the Presidential suite is the South Korean President.  The Suite is covered with elegant couches and of course the Presidential office where you can work. The place has an elegant bathroom, meeting room and dining room. It basically takes up the entire building!

Now to stay at the Presidential suite which is great for business meetings, it would cost PhP 600,000. Pretty affordable for a huge space! Next stop: MacArthur Suite!
