The Sandman Has Been Renewed By Netflix, Ensuring That Neil Gaiman’s DC Comic Will Continue With Fresh Episodes
The Sandman, nicknamed Dream (Tom Sturridge), the great cosmic being in charge of all of our dreams, is unexpectedly taken prisoner and kept for more than a century. To undo the havoc his absence has wrought, he must travel across several worlds and eras.
The Sandman, a popular Neil Gaiman comic book series starring Dream, a god-like personification who lords over people’s dreams in a realm known as the Dreaming, had its debut on August 5, 2022, to critical acclaim.
The cast also features Boyd Holbrook, David Thewlis, Jenna Coleman, Gwendoline Christie, and Tom Sturridge as Dream.
Ten episodes from the first season, which was based entirely on comic book stories, were produced. A special eleventh episode in two parts was made available two weeks after the first season’s launch.
